The event organisers of the second edition of the SYchosis events have recently announced a new media and funding partnership with XLeague TV. The partnership will bring eSports coverage at British LAN events to the next level, with the finals in Call of Duty 4 and Counter-Strike: Source tournaments being televised on Sky TV shortly afterwards. At a period where CoDTV is being highly sought after, SYchosis could provide the game with much needed exposure to the general publicThe announcement of a new partner with XLeague TV is another huge boost to the event which will feature 360 BYOC participants between the 4th and the 6th of July at Doncaster Dome competing for a total combined prize purse of £3000 in cash and hardware. These prizes are largely thanks to partnerships with Sheffield based ISP PlusNet and Gaming peripherals manufacturer QPAD. The development of the SYchosis event in comparison to its predecessor, SYchosis, is another huge boost to the local competitive LAN scene within the UK - with CLUK21 occurring only in the following week.
The confirmed prize purse and competitive ruleset has attracted top names from UK Call of Duty the event is surely one to look out coverage wise in a weekend already blessed with competitive action coming from Paris in the form of the iPower Games. With the biggest prize purses to hit Call of Duty thus far planned for the summer, results at these smaller scale events will be key indicators of which teams have done the required preparation.
