CS:S Crossed forms officially

Crossed is not an old name to Counter-Strike: Source, with a successful Norwegian roster using the name approximately two years ago. However, the name was revived little over one week ago when Crossed attended the TLR LAN at the WZZRD Games Cafe in Enschede.

The event was hyped up on its announcement, but despite over subscription only five teams managed to pay to attend. Despite a second place finish at the event after mix Czech/Slovakian side Reason Gaming, the mix team of Crossed was not one to last with a player already contracted to the CGS for the 2008 season. However, with Simen Henrikssen and Sandor de Munck coming into contact during the event, a stable idea for a roster was created to compete in the upcoming The Experience event and in the long term after that.

With Simen Henrikssen and Elvind Fasting confirmed in the roster along with Sandor de Munck, fellow Fnatic player Mark Koks was the obvious choice as a fourth. After an impressive performance at the TLR LAN event with the Crossed mix team, Joel “XreaL” Fortuanto got his chance to compete at the top level and will become their fifth member. With The Experience only weeks away, the team has planned a medium sized bootcamp to get to know each other better and to improve communication. Despite the roster being international, Sandor de Munck claims that this will not hold them back and the language barriers are “something we can overcome easily”.

With the confirmed stable support of Simon Adams, better known as Madams, the team will be aiming to take professional Counter-Strike: Source to another level whilst helping the progress of eSports in general and will be looking to invest into more teams in the future.

Simen "warclown" Henrikssen
Elvind "Leffa" Fasting
Mark "AirRaid" Koks
Sandor "proph" de Munck
Joel "XreaL" Fortuanto

Statement Sandor de Munck (Player):

Simon spoke to me at TLR LAN about helping him form one of the best teams in Europe. After the unfortunate demise of fnatic I was always on the lookout for a new team to compete with and I think crossed fits the bill perfectly.
We’re going to spend the next few weeks before the eXperience boot camping and practising hard, the team needs to work on general communication due to our different nationalities, but it’s something we can overcome easily.
We all get on really well both in and out of game and I think we’ll do very well.
